does not work  
The mouth piece is too big cant get it to stay inside my mouth making the mold was almost impossible and hurts my jaw dipping it in boiling water then putting it in your mouth? I got sensitive teeth and this hurts. Besides... it just came out of a cup of boiling water... come on. : 2010-09-15 04:13:23

doesnt retain shape  
I purchased the mouthpiece and followed the directions on how to form it. I felt that it worked ok the first night but by the second night the mouthpiece had not retained the shape from the original forming. I took it back to the kitchen the second night and reformed it per directions. It did not work as well the second night and again failed to retain its form.

Whle it may have worked the first night I do not wish to take the time everynight to reform the mold and would be concerned that the plastic would quickly lose its forming capabilities with daily boiling. I have no idea if I could tolerate the mouthpiece for a protracted period of time as I gave up trying to form it every night. : 2010-09-15 04:13:23

Almost worked for me.  
Unfortunately I must be in the 15% of people that it didnt work for.

Pros: The mouthpiece was fairly easy to form and if not quite right the first time you can get a few shots at it before it stops responding. On the 4th fit it was losing some of it flexibility.

Cons: If you dont fit it correctly you can end up with a sore jaw and or raw cheeks (inside the mouth). However you can get a few tries at it.

Overall it was worth a shot. My dentist recommended trying something like this before paying for a professional fitment at high $$. Since it doesnt work for everyone.

Ive just made an appointment for a sleep study to see what is really going on for me.

Give it a shot if youre curious. You could be in the 85% crowd that it does work for. It did help a little the few times according to my wife then it stopped making any difference at all. Good Luck. : 2010-09-15 04:13:23
